We include teachers and staff in all of our celebrations. We have 65 to provide for. On December 20, we will have our annual Teacher and Staff Appreciation Luncheon in our school library. Parents bring in desserts and side dishes and the PTO buys all decorations, tableware, meat, and small gifts for everyone. The teachers and staff do a grab bag, and they eat and have a good time. We have parents volunteer in the office and the classrooms so the teachers and staff can enjoy their day. It's a day that everyone looks forward to.
we do all of our staff and mostly just during staff appreciation week in May. We do some small mailbox candy things during certain months, prize drawings and sometimes a lunch during the winter months. The thing is alot of times that support staff helps us out alot...custodians, office secretaries so you need to make them included I would say at all times.
"When you stop learning you stop growing."
We do custodians day, secretary day and kitchen staff day, so when teacher appreciation day arrives, we don't have a problem. But since all the other days are early in the year, we try to do a little thank you with candy for the others in april.
i like the every other month thing. that is a good idea!
