Help! How much say does the Principal of a school have in how the PTO should spend their money? Previously, all requests from teachers have gone directly to the Treasurer. Our new Principal wants them to go to him first so he can deny anything frivolous. We haven't had any problems in the past. For small dollar amounts funding is usually granted immediately and for larger amounts, we approve at monthly meetings. In addition, after his request, a motion was made to add this process as an amendment to our constitution which seems unneccesary. Any thoughts?
