3179--I don't think I've seen any....I guess my thoughts would be to pick what's important to you as a parent. To me at the start IQ wasn't as important as EQ...my children aren't brilliant but I want them to show solid values and abilities to deal with what's going on (playground etc). If academics are most important...break down categories of studies so that you understand what area of a study might be weak. If math is not doing so well--what exactly in math...ability to visualize and solve, ability to applications etc. Whatever you know to be important for you to feel comfortable your child is moving forward. None of my critters has started school reading so hearing they could at first was no big deal for me. Finding out if they cried all day did. By the end of school our wonderful teachers can get many children at the appropriate place...and I'm always satisfied that I've found out about what is important to our family....
Any good articles or tips regarding conferences that we can share with parents at our next meeting? Seems like I've come across some before but can't seem to find them now.
Thanks!
