Most people love to talk about their jobs to young adults considering entering the field - go interview the principals in your area, tell them what your purpose is, I bet they would be more than glad to give you 15min of their time (once school is out) and could best answer all your questions.
i think you are on the right track also visit local schools and talk to the prin or even email them sometimes that is even easier then tring to get a app with one and i am sure they can give you all kinds of info because just like others have said the best info or help you are going to get is through other who have experienced it and by really listening.

who knows, once you start to teach you may not WANT a management role after all. keep an open mind. wait and see.
Everythign that I took from college was the time hearing real life experiences. Our professor called them "crap file" stories. You know the kind of story about the old lady upset about a male manager working in the ladies Dept and a woman manager in the appliances dept. (ps. true story!) You can't make up that stuff!
Books are great, but nothing measures to real life.
My favorite asset, listening. Just to sit back and hear what one has to say adn ALL the sides of the story. It comes in handy as a Mom of 5 and the PTO President and other aspects of my life. But the key is not to reply "I hear what you are saying" but to just let the idea, issue, thought,etc come.
