My son's school is K-2 and we are going to ask the classes to bring different foods. Like there are 6 kindergarten classes so we might ask 3 of them to bring salads and the other 3 to bring side dishes. Plan your menu and go from there. You could also ask your local restaurants and/or grocerys if they would be willing to donate some food or drinks or both. You never know until you ask.
Have each grade level bring in something different. Let K bring salads, 1 bring side dish, & 2 bring desserts. Hope this gives you a good idea. (It's something we do when its hockey banquet time...each level brings in something different.)
We have never asked parents before for donations am I ma trying to figure out how to divide everything. Our school has about roughly 200 students for each the kdg, first and second grades.
The PTO is getting them deli platters and rolls for the teacher and staff (75)
I would like side dishes maybe some desserts and not sure what else and how to divide it all up so I dont end up with too many of one thing.
Any suggestions?????
Cindy
PS I dont really have a theme or anything this year but our slogan is THank you for helping our students bloom and they are each getting a plant.
