I am getting burned out by the merry-go-round dealings at the school. Maybe someone can give me some help. I understand about picking your battles but do I have to let everything go by? Our parent group was told by the principal that she could do without us. We try to have executive meetings and would sit waiting for an hour or two to see the principal. It is hard getting our information out because it gets lost, no one has time to see to it, etc. Our fundraising ideas get pushed to the back burner to the point we don't know if we should even try anymore. We get the we're a team speech, but it is getting a little stale after all these months. I got in this to make a difference for my children as well as others, but these struggles are nerve-wracking. Even parents at the meetings are starting to notice, even though we all (execs and principal) try to put on the united face front. The parents always tell us after the meeting we're doing a great job and they see all the hard work we put into this, but our executive board is tired. I need a little input from out here. Saying it in an executive meeting is like talking to the wall. I'm starting to not want to go up to the school but I want to honor my committment. Thanks for letting me rant before my next go round.
