There is nothing in our bylaws preventing it. In fact, our bylaws state that "any interested party" can be a member, executive or otherwise. We have a school employee on our executive board and it has never been a problem. It is, after all, a parent teacher organization.
Does anyone know if there is anything stated in your by-laws that state an executive board cannot be employed by the school while serving on the board? We have 4 executive board members. Two of them (Pres and Sec)have been employed by the school after becoming in office. These are not teachers, they are staff members. We do have 3 teachers that are representatives.
Just curious to see if you think this is a good thing or a conflict?
