We sent out invitations to each school in our district (to invite people they may have worked with) as well as all of our staff and the retirees' family and friends. We only had one person retire and over 100 people attended. In the least there should be people from your school attend. My worry would be that too many would come.
The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris
Our PTO is hosting a reception for 3 teachers who are retiring this year with a combined total of over 100 years of teaching between them - my nightmare is: what if no-one turns up for the party? Any ideas on how to get people to turn up?
