I think a few months ago there was a thread about how much money PTOs/PTAs budget for and provide for teachers for discretionary funds at the beginning of the school year per student or class. I can't find the thread now.
Would you mind sharing that info. with me? We currently budget $3.00/student for teachers and an additional $1.00/student that is divided amongst media center/gifted & special ed. depts./counseling, and a few other specials depts.
All in all, it works out at exactly $4.00/student.
The $4.00/student seems low to me, but it would be difficult for us to increase it for next year based on our financial numbers to date. The principal is provided with a discretionary fund of $275.00.
