Unfortunately we don't have a budget. We are working on one for this year but it won't be ready in time.
We had a Head Room Mother and the teachers told us they didn't need her. So I guess I am not sure how to approach the subject of what we can do for them. Maybe do a survey of what they think we should be doing??
I was just thinking about this today. We are kicking off a new volunteer program and I am going to approach our principal about talking with staff about this. If given the chance I would give a schedule of events for the year, names and numbers of key officers/chair people, a survey/volunteer needs form asking them what they would like to see from us. I would give them a budget for the year , we just started doing this last year and I think it really helped them to see what we have planned, at the end they get a break down of all of our expenses. It is a learning tool, sometimes they think money is endless!!

Does anyone give their teachers an information packet at the beginning of the school year?
I have a time slot at our teachers institute day next week to talk about the new AR program we are putting in place. I also have the time to give them other information regarding our parent club. I was thinking of: a list of board members with phone numbers and main responsibilities, a calendar of events for the year (including meetings), my carnival sign-up sheet, .....
