Our principal doesn't have anything to do with our funds. In order for anything to be purchased, it has to be ok'd by at least 3 board members (majority).

I would look at your bylaws and revise them if they need to be.

I hope all is well with everyone. I have read a few posts. I am a co-president and share this responsibility with two other moms. This I am hoping will work well. We actually decided to take on this responsibility when no one came forward to handle it.
But I am now realizing that something is definately wrong with the way the PTO funds are being handled.
Question: Can the principal of the school tell the treasurer (okay ask) to sign over a check that will go into the general fund? Lets say the check is over $5,000.00 There is no explanation for what this money is needed for with the exception to pay bills. Any thoughts?
