You are evil, MKM, you are simply evil...

...that's what I like about you!

If she really feels the need to Chair the luncheon, make sure the lunch ladies go first....

Seriously, I have five children and wouldn't dream of pulling something like that! Okay, granted when the tables are cleared and dishes are being picked up, sure there have been times I have come home with supper for my family BUT ONLY AFTER the event is over do I even THINK about asking!

Well, I'm sorry you lost your Secretary, but for fun the new person should be questioned on her favorite desserts.....okay, only if you have a bad sense of humor as I do.

Thanks for all the response. I agree with the fault of myself when i had a piece of cheesecake. I myself had counted all the pieces before hand and there were enough for all the staff even without the 3 we had eaten. However I shouldnt have had a piece for that I am to blame. I myself and my former treasurer are in total agreement that we have plans the week before last week of school to take cheesecake to the staff that went without. Update the secretary resigned. I had not revealed all the difficulties I had been having with her this past year. The teachers have bakesales to suppliment their classroom budgets and volunteers come and run the bakesales for them during the lunch hour. This same lady had on the 3 times she ran the bakesales took food put in on a plate for her children and then never paid for it. When she resigned she stated and I quote. I am resigning from the Secretary position but I will still in charge of the Teacher Conference Dinners. So now I have to inform her that resigning from the PTM also resigns her from the ability to "Chair" any activity conducted through the PTM without being at the meetings and voluteering for that Chair position. Thanks for all the comments would love to hear more on the latest subject. :(

I have no words of wisdom here about what to do or who's to blame but my first thought was that I'd be sure and get another cheesecake to take to the ladies that weren't able to get any at the luncheon. I think it would be a very nice gesture and a much appreciated one and would help to ease any frustrations that they might be feeling.

If I may, KC and madsh, you both have a good point and the point I would like to share is in the catering businesses you NEVER eat BEFORE your guests do for the simple reason you want to make sure you have enough. THEN AFTER and ONLY AFTER everyone has eaten do you serve yourself.

antesheba, let her eat cake and kiss her good bye. You need someone that can help and have some simple table manners. period. Also I hope you think twice about what you did, you too have fruit on your face. After twenty years in catering I would NEVER even think of doing what you did, enough or not.
