Our PTO budgets money for school wide events but we do ask for parent/student involvement. This is what we are doing this year. Monday: PTW (our PTO) will provide Brunch in the teacher's lounge. (juice, bagels, doughnuts, fruit). Tuesday: children write a note to their teacher. If they have any specials (art, music, p.e., etc.) we ask them to make a card or write a letter to that teacher as well. Wednesday: PTW provides chocolate to the teachers. (in the past we've asked the students to bring in candy for their teachers) Thursday: students bring in a flower. They will be placed in a vase (donated) and will become a special bouquet for their teacher. Friday tw provides a catered lunch for the teachers during their lunch hour.
If you are doing this for just your child's teacher, you could modify this list or just do one or two items.
Good luck and have fun!!!
Keep searching on this board, it is loaded with great ideas.
We honor the whole staff. Last year we did a theme potluck a day (Monday- Italian Day, etc). I had a sign up sheet for it in the office to make sure everyone didn't sign up for one day. This goes along with the small gifts we give.
THIS IS MY FIRST TIME DOING THE ROOM MOTHER CHAIR. I HAVE NEVER BEEN ON PTO BEFORE. CAN SOMEONE GIVE ME SOME CLUE ON WHAT TO DO FOR TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK? THANKS
