I know that isn't what you mean, but it certainly is the image "zero tolerance for academics" conjures up.
I'm assuming this is one of those enforced classwork / homework assignment completion programs. Where a student who fails to complete an assignment is put into detention until the work is done?
Well, I'm certainly no fan of "zero tolerance" programs. Randy Cassingham of "This Is True" says it better than I probably can at

. The whole point of zero tolerance programs is to institute hard and fast rules which must be blindly obeyed, without regard to any rational thought or sense of proportion. So, I'm already skeptical of the program, and I don't really know anything about it.
