Hello,
Lucky to find this board. Allot of concerned and giving people on it. This can only help all of our children. Well this is my question.... As of the beginning of this school year the Principle of my children's school was elected PTA President ( I was concerned for obvious reasons as conflict of interest etc...I have recently learned that the school is changing to a PTO and I was wondering a few things. 1. Can the Principle of the school or any other school board officials become the President? Is this against the rules or a conflict of interest? 2. What control would he have over the funds in both situations (if he is President or not). If the situation was to become such that the Principle is the President I have concerns as to how much input the parents would have in any issue regarding our children, monies raised, where it will go, will our issues be heard, etc.. any help would be greatly appreciated . I am a newbie on the board. I just want to make sure that the children at our school will benefit as much as possible. Obviously the past was not that good and I am concerned.
