Perhaps your new receptionist is overwhelmed...hopefully that is all it is, anyhow kill her with kindness and support and she will be a nice person to have around if the PTO needs her:)

I was at our school last week to ask for some copies to be made and pick up copies that were complete. The new receptionist leaned over to her son and said "Now what does SHE need!" I don't think she ment for me to hear her but I replied "I NEED to speak to the copy gal and to pick up the copies she did for me." The copy gal had the day off and after 10 minutes of going around and around with the new gal about were my copies were (she sent me all over the school to the two different lounges etc) I was finally allowed to come in the office, walk up to the shelf were my mail has always been put and pick up my copies! That night a friend of mine that works in the office can over to pick up her daughter and I told her about my "adventure". The next day, I recieved a call from ther new gal apologizing and was afraid we had gotten off on the wrng foot! I was happy to get her call but also felt bad I had said someting. Oddly enough, she is still a rude professional acting recepionist to the rest of the parents. ---I did have a mail box but we hired 20 new teachers and I lost my mail box but will get one at the new site!
I had to share this since it has a happy ending (for now!!)
