Our kids have received a memory book every year with pictures from their field trips, in classroom pics and others-- possibly ask parents if they have any pictures you can scan in and reprint and ask teachers if they have any pictures from the year they were in their classroom... and blow those up onto the walls---- love this idea--- we show a candids video that has pictures of the kids throughout their years at the school.... good luck!!
I love that idea of a memory walk! Very fun! Bet there'll be a few tears in the audience (parents!). Might be helpful to ask parents who have save project from past book reports, etc. Perhaps they could loan them to the school to showcase their kids work from earlier years.
Let us know how you make out with this event. Sounds like it could be really special.
This is a really cool idea especially if you have a school that doesn't have much change in its students. I think you should contact the teachers of these grades and see if the teachers had any pictures of these kids at that stage like any of them at the zoo when they were in Kindergarten. Also if you have email contact with their parents or even a note home requesting pictures be sent in for the project they can reflect not only what they did but how they looked in those stages of life and maybe if you have parents that might have kept any papers or art work from different years maybe they would donate some for you to display so they can see how far they really have come from Kindergarten where some couldnt read or write their names or could but not neatly and most likely in all caps. LOL this is kind of a cool idea!!
I am in charge of a memory walk for the kids to walk by or thru where they reflect on events that the school held since kindergarten. For example, they would stop at the first station and remember going to zoo in Kinder. Any ideas on decorating this or making it extra special?
Thanks
