PTO Mommy-
Sorry to hear that things are off to a rough start with the new principal. So she is principal at 2 schools? Maybe she is just getting adjusted to your school and having new responsibilities. Here are two articles that have some good info on how work best with principals:

Keep us posted on how things go, moving forward!

Once again our school has got a new principal and as was expexted she is quite different from our last two . She has a very abrupt way about her and dose not seem as interested in our school as she dose the other she is also principal at .
I took several weeks to set our PTO meeting date and at the meeting she seems uninterested in participation unless it is telling us what she will and will not approve . She has also decided to change our school trip for the 5th garde class and has never even spoke to one parent to get input from us . She not only changed the location but also combined it with her other schools 5th grade (pending approval by the board). Yet it is the PTO and the parents who help sell our fund raisers who pay for this trip and go along to help with the kids. Being PTO president I have to work with her all year and it looks like it may be a tough year . Any ideas to help talk to her about working on the issues above ???
