I have to share this with a group that will totally understand...
A teacher sent out an all staff e-mail asking if anyone could spare a box of Kleenex. She shortly replied a huge thank you for the many offers and we thought that was it. No. One of the testing cordinators soon replied how awful it was that this teacher had to ask for a box of tissues. They have been going through a box a day during ACT tests for high school and other testing we do at the end of the year. So her idea was to ask each parent to bring in 5 boxes per child at the beginning of the year to help with problem/issue. Okay, my "Mommy hat" came on and I'm sitting here thinking "Holy Kleenex Batman!" Each supply list for my kiddos ask for 3 boxes at the beginning of the year and I can go to Cosco and buy two big packs and be good. NO! I would be asked to supply 25 boxes (5 kids) for school! BACK UP THE VAN KIDS WE HAVE KLEENEX! As I'm fretting over this possible situation, a Kindergarten teacher e-mails everyone to let them know of the over abundance of tissues they have and have no problem with sharing (she joked about it being in the lesson plans for the day ) .
I love how the thought of spending $60+ on Kleenex would be easier than $2.60.
