Our elementary school principal was forced to go to another school 2 years ago, and we had a party for her at a staff members house. We had great food, and we bought her some nice gifts including a sterling silver diamond necklace, silver mouse pad and mouse, silver pen, and a leather briefcase. All of the silver had inscriptions. It was a really sad day for our school. Our new principal has created a very bad name for our school. Parents are pulling their kids out of the school. We all still wish our old principal was still at our school. She made the school such a wonderful place to be.
Our districts is shuffling the elementary school principals. We are sad to see our wonderful principal of 10+ years go and would like for the PTO to recognize him is some way. My thought was the PTO could purchase something for the school and dedicate it to him with a marker or plaque. My problem is I am not sure what. I would like something functional for the school, but don't want to do something that is going to be a big deal to get approved by the school board (facility committee). Ideas??!?!
