krazy...there is no national pto so your group would not fall under their bylaws as there are none. If your group has had bylaws try to find them and the info should be in there. If there are no sign of bylaws then maybe it is time to develop them, charging dues is a question that only each group can answer. I personally would have a problem trying to get any due money whatmore 15.00. There is a post on this forum that discusses what others do...check that out!
Our PTO charges $15.00 for dues. I just found out that the board member also have to pay the dues. I am worried about parents that want to be apart of PTO but can't pay the dues. Are there bylaws for Washington State that say this is how it is suppose to be. Everyone on our board is new and have never seen any bylaws for our group and the past board doesn't have them and has never seen them. Does anyone know where I can find these bylaws?
