You should also check out the Charter or by-laws from any number of PTOs either from links on this site or do a google search. You should be able to quickly find several good examples. Take the best of what you find and adapt it to how your group wants to organize. (Do this with as many of the interested parents as possibly - it takes more time but the exchange of ideas and collaboration will make you a better team/PTO in the long run).
