thank you for responding I am a bit confused myself. They had the nominations for every position then called everyone who was nominated and asked if they would want to run. And decided to leave everyone in those positions for the election. I was nominated in 3 out of 7 positions
1.)If I can be voted for in all 3 I will leave it as is (I do think they were going to let you pick which position you want and the runner up would get the other position.)
2.) if the voters have to pick only one then I will run for only one position. otherwise my votes will be split and I will win none.
How does someone even run for two positions? What if they win both slots? I'd need a bit more information to confidently answer your question.
1. Will your ballot list all open positions along with the candidates on which the members check/circle their choice? Then, what do you do if someone wins two slots? Let them pick which one they want and give the other position to the person with the next highest votes. That sounds like a bad idea.
OR
2. Will you address each open position individually where you elect the president first, announce the winner and remove that name from all subsequent ballots. Then, move on the VP and so on. ???
Option 2 would be my recommendation.

If you are nominated and running for more than one position on the PTO board can one voter vote for you in more than one position? Or can each voter only choose you for one position?
