My principal would be all over this. I know that doesn't help your situation, but I think this is a good time to start building that relationship. I visit our principal weekly to let her know what's going on.
Just wondering, was the laminator going to break the budget? And when you raise money, do you state upfront what kinds of things it will be used for?
Also, all request for funds or equipment from teachers must go through our principal first and if the school cannot purchase it then it is a no brainer that we buy it.
Good luck and remember the school needs Moms like you who are crazy enough to volunteer but are not nuts!!

These two nuts are awful. And for me I cannot function like this my secretary wont stay if i dont part of the reason i gave it all a second chance after all they have put me through thus far. If it comes down to it i will throw myself in special olympics voulnteering full time as two of my three are disabled i just dont need the stress anymore my spirit has been weekend by this. What amazes me is they have forgotten we do this as voulnteers and most important we do it for the kids. Asfor how they got there seats they ran unapposed everyone is afraid of them and there antics. it was a great pto last year... i should add last year was the first year the school ever had a pto... hopefully the letter is being written as i write asking for the resignations i heard the parents were holding a get together to write it but asked to be informed when the nuts are so they know it came from the parents and not just me..... i just needed to talk this all so strange and noone really knows how to handle these loose cannons. so thank you

Why would you resign from something you love over these two nitwits? If everyone wants them gone then vote them out of their board seats. You shouldn't have to take them on by yourself. Get all the parents and teachers who want them out to come and vote them out. Let them scream and yell all they want on the way out the door. How did people like this get into board seats anyway????

As for your Principal...I get her main concern is the 700 kids at the school, but she should be concerned with this as well as it is affecting the parents and the teachers. Leadership starts at the top and when there isn't any there it allows for chaos to ensue. If you and the secretary leave and all the principal is left with is these two nuts then she will really have problems on her hands. Does she attend your meetings?

I thank you all for your comments,

We all belive what they have done is wrong and Rude. The biggest problem we have is they will not sit and talk like adults these scream and get very nasty. I am actually afaraid to confront them. I have delt with them before and it was not good i was left in tears and wanting to resign. my parents and school staff asked me to stay. This was our first meeting since my confrontation with them happened and parents are just upset how they continue to badger other parents and staff. By way of our princepal as she said she has 700 students to control she cant handle the parents as well. This is our job. My secretary and i have decided to see what happens but as of today if this isnt resolved by the next meeting i am afraid i will resign at the next meeting the emotional stress these two cause is unbearable i just want to have fun do my job and make sure the school and kids get everything they need. I must admit if i resign i will miss it terrible... again Thanks For your help.....

Hang on...lets advoid throwing gas on the fire by tossing these parents out on their ear. The last thing I want to do is to meeting a person to death but this needs to be discussed as adults first.

They have the "right" to dissagree but they have gone to far. I would let these pople know this too. I understand and know your argument but how would calling all these parents going to solve this issue? At this point and time do YOU....not them YOU want to be rind of these parents or are we just in the middle of a dissagrement that has potential of getting really ugly!

I would host a discussion for the parents and the BOard members and put it out on the table what has been asked. " I brought everyone here tonight to let you know I have been asked to remove..."

They crossed the line. They should be "punished" but removed? I would rather ask for apologies.

How can we get rid of officers we don't like before their term is up?

Answer:
It depends. If the bylaws just state a fixed term for the officer, such as "two years," or if they say the officer serves for a specified term "and until [the officer's] successor is elected" (or words to that effect), then the group must use formal disciplinary proceedings, which involve the appointment of an investigating committee, preferral of charges by such a committee, and the conduct of a formal trial. The procedure is complex, and should be undertaken only after a careful review of Chapter XX of RONR.

On the other hand, if the bylaws state a term for the office but add "or until [the officer's] successor is elected," or contain other wording explicitly indicating that the officer may be removed before the term expires, then the election can be rescinded (see Chapter 7 of RONR In Brief) and a successor then elected for the remainder of the term.

Of course, if the bylaws themselves establish a procedure for removal from office, that procedure must be followed. [RONR (10th ed.), p. 642-43.]
