I would be cautious about the PTO becoming the employer - too many issues. Instead, why not donate the money for the payroll to the school? That way, the person stays an employee of the school, but the school has the money to fund the position.
Hi!!! I believe it can be done but it depends on if you have enough $$$ in your budget to do so & vote on it. Ask your board office on how the taxes work.... Good luck.
Our PTO has been asked to fund a half time position at our school, because we have learned that Title funds can not be used for this position. We are wondering if we have a legal situation here, or if we can fund this position, how will benefits, taxes, etc. be handled? Thanks for any info.
