Dear DCElemPTO- I just would like to make a recommendation to whoever is writing your bylaws. Inclusion of a bylaw on Conflict of Interest and/or Ethics for Board members is highly advised. You would not believe how some women and men try to get on boards of PTO's to line their pockets and then create chaos in the school when they are questioned about it. Take my word for it,the 30 minutes to write a bylaw is much less painful then being a receipient of horrendous, unjustified e-mail.
