Yes, if there is someone else willing and able to be the group's treasurer,then it seems proper that the leadership responsibilities be spread out. Leagality? Don't think there's any legal issue here, just common sense. Before assuming the worse, consider that there might be a basic reason why there isn't a treasure: no one wanted the job and it was easier for the Pres and VP just to take care of it than to beg someone to step forward. You're concerned? Volunteer to take the job, or convince a fellow member to volunteer if you're not interested. If the president and VP resist, then you have a gripe. But they may in fact be relieved that someone is willing to step forward to do the job.
Just Found out that PTO President and Vice President our both acting as Treasure of our PTO, and I haven't seen any Advertisement for a New Treasure for the PTO. Does anyone think this is fishy and is it even leagal under non profits for there to be no official Treasure?
