... well dang... I keep thinking of things to ask and guess I should have been more prepared before posting...

How do you handle your voting? By a show of hands or paper ballots? We have a small school and I don't expect more than 20 members... Last year we didn't even go thru the steps of voting ( our first year )

also... the reason I wondered about her turning it over to me after (if) I am voted in... she is willing to take the Treasurer Position, as no one showed interest on that either...so am thinking I would need to do THAT vote at least...

We are finally having our first PTO meeting on Monday night... I am the new ( if I am voted in but am the only one interested) President and our principal wants the last years pres to open the meeting and discuss the voting.. My question is, does anyone have an agenda for this type of situation and are there any certain things she should say or not say? I have the meeting agenda ( from here) but with me being new to this whole process I am not sure how the meeting should begin. Should she open it and ask if there are any more nominations for the positions and then take a vote and turn the meeting over to me provided I am voted in? ANd should she hold the vote for all the positions or just mine and I take over on the VP, sec. and treas. ? Any ideas are welcomed and appreciated..
