This is probably common knowledge somewhere, but we need help! Our school's PTO holds closed meetings and the board members elect each other with indefinite term lengths. Apparently they've been running things this way for years, but the latest crop of parents isn't happy. What is the "official protocol" for how a PTO board is run? Do meetings have to be open? How are board positions usually assigned? Where do the rest of the parents allow themselves to be heard? If anyone can please help, we all would greatly appreciate it! SFDSmom
