GETTING OUT

You can give any reason you like for leaving. It's a simple as saying you no longer have the time to fulfill the position.

I do think you should speak with the superintendent and the principal though. Someone needs to put a stop to this situation.

In writing. You do not have to give a reason unless you want to, but do it in writing. Keep a copy. Theft of funds/merchandise will come back and bite hard, and you don't want to be included in the group.

Having recently gone through an embezzlement scandal, I will give you this advice: Tender your resignation publicly (at a meeting for instance) and then file a report with the police for theft. It is a felony to know about and not report a felony. Talk about irony...

Good Luck

I need help!!! I want to leave my position as secretary of our HSA ASAP. The reasons why are: Stealing money by our own group members, stealing fudraising items, people not doing their job description, president and the principal looking the other way while this is done. The grade parent person already left due to the same reasons. My child still attends the school, so I want to leave in good terms. How do I do that? It is not stated on our by-laws. Please respond. Thanks.
