Ours is $1.00, raised from .50 a couple of years ago. We are low income area.

When we open the doors for membership we say "Membership dues are $1.00, this entitles you to bring up business and vote on what is brought forth in the meetings for the rest of the school year."

Hey if they want to pay more, have a collection plate going. ;)

Everyones bylaws are different. Our Dues are $5 per family per year (They use to be $1 but a few years ago they upped it to $5). Our Bylaws state that you must pay the $5 in order to become a member and be able to vote in elections.

If asked what will $1 help! Every Dollar Helps! Especially at the beginning of they year when you usually need to start raising money to pay for everything!

Hello all.

We are wanting to implement membership dues this year. They are listed in our by-laws, how-ever they have never been collected. It is simply $1.00.

When we mention this either in our welcome letter or at our first meeting, how should it be worded?

We are sure we are going to get some flack from some and that the comment "boy, what is a $1.00 going to do"....

ANy advice would be greatly appreciated.
