I just e-mailed you two examples of ours. One is a Council PTA one and very brief. The other is from the school's PTA and a bit more formal. Hope it's helpful.
I am also a first time Secretary but I had a great deal of help from the previous Secretary. 1st off the minutes do not need to be too wordy. Straight and to the point. Better yet if you want to give me your e-mail address and I'll send you a sample of ours.

A couple of years ago there was a great article on minutes in PTO Today. Perhaps someone could help guide you to that.
I am also a first time secretary. I dread it. I am not a good note taker and often get side tracked so I am going to take a small tape recorder to the meetings to ensure my info will be correct. Another hint is to use your agenda and jot down notes beside of it as you go.
I was elected secretary to a brand new home and school association, however, what I call minutes is just a summary of the previous meeting typed -up. can anyone help with the right info to be on the minutes?, and if there is a visual example it would be great. Thanks
