I can't imagine anyone being that specific in their bylaws--but I can imagine that's the kind of thing that comes up as an amendment after the situation occurs!
I definitely see potential for problems, and can understand the concerns of the board, regardless of how nice this person may (or may not!) be. Doesn't anyone else want the position?
Our PTO is currently holding nominations for officers for next year. Is there anywhere in the bylaws that state that the principal of our school's wife cannot run for President of the PTO, since her husband is the principal of that school? Some of the board members are concerned that some of our parents will see this as a conflict of interest. Help Please!!
