Click on "useful resources" over to the left, and go to the section on "starting a PTO." There are a bunch of examples there. Especially if you're incorporated, but even if you're not, it's also a good idea to check with the state corporations office in which you're located to see if they have any requirements regarding meeting quorum/notice requirements, etc.

Is there anywhere I can get a copy a by laws for a PTO/PTA/PTC? We need to rewrite our by laws to make them more fair for everyone involved in our group. The way our by laws are right now the board can override anything the group wants to do as a whole. Previous board have use that to by a copier for the school, when the major of people wanted to do more research to see if we could raise money for it. Thanks for any help we can get.
