Hi, I thought that I would share the information that I recieved from the roberts rules web site. They said, every member has a right to make a motion in a meeting including the president running the meeting, but it is recommended the the person conducting the meeting refrain from doing so. Thanks
I found out the 'chair' or 'president' needs to keep order as they are the one that will recogize the member wanting the floor to speak. Well, that's what the book says!
This maybe a good one for the Robert's Rules of Order website...I couldn't find anything in the book besides what I posted...
Hi,
I know that the president who is conducting the meeting is not allowed to make a motion, but we have two presidents, are we both unable to make a motion eventhough only one is conductiong?
