I'll send you our constitution and bylaws. We have our 501(c)(3) designation, so they were suitable to the IRS. However, we aren't incorporated. So if you are going that route, you'll probably want an Articles of Association and Bylaws.
We found out too late that if you incorporate AFTER getting the 501(c)(3) you've formed a new legal entity and have to re-apply for that status (and pay the $500 again). So we won't be incorporating.
If anyone else wants a copy, please email me. I'll be glad to send it, but I don't respond to "me too" postings. I may not notice them or if I do, I may not be at the computer that holds those documents. Plus it just clutters up the message thread if that's the only reason to reply.
I have researched all the bylaws that were listed in the Roberts Rules section. Can anyone provide me with a look see at their PTO bylaws. Not to make less of PTA (but we are an HSA or home & School association - no we are not homeschoolers, we are a PTO)I need to see PTO bylaws. It seems PTA bylaws have alot of PTA involvement with the National PTA. Any help would be great.
I am looking to possibly revise our organizations bylaws which are very "101" there is too much room for interpretation and some areas need to be a little more specific.
Well, since I am on a roll, I have another request: I am looking to form a publicity/communications position and would like to see if anyone has this position within their organization and what that person is responsible for. Thanks. You can post or send me an email:backhoed@optonline.net
