Help!!!

what do your bylaws say? Perhaps you need to suggest a vote. Or you can have a sit down exec meeting with the vp and 2nd vp and talk about what will be expected of them and if they are willing and able to fullfill their duties. Part of their duties is to be diplomatic, respectful and solve problems, not create them. As current Pres, you need to make that clear.

Good luck,
Lisa

You are signing my tune. I was elected pres and now find myself moving within the month over 1200 miles away. It's not enough that I feel bad leaving a commitment I made. The board member stepping up to be pres is awesome. The rest of the board enjoys the title and the benefits - even if they aren't great - of being on the board. It appears that none of them are willing, however, to step up and assume additional responsibilities. Check your bylaws - ours say that if a vacancy exists other than president that it is filled by the rest of the board deciding on who to fill with - there is not a standard flow through the ranks. If you can bring someone else in from the outside so to speak it may be better that way. Good luck and know that you are not alone.

I will get right to the point!
I am the President of the PTO...I have a VP that is the best ...but on the other hand I have a 2VP that is not getting along with anyone. I am moving so my VP will step to up pres. but now all the teachers, board members and my VP want to quit if she moves up to VP. So what can I do, can I vote her out...or let anyone quit!
