We don't although I think it would be a good idea after the crap we went through last year, but the person who caused the crap would say ( and get the rest of the do nothing board to agree) that it is an unnecessary item.
I would love to know how many of you, who are not PTA's ,have insurance.
The PTO's in our district do not have it and never have. They use the district's tax exempt # and are not a 501c-3. They don't want to hear that we need insurance because it will take $ away from the kids.
As an officer, I am worried that i will be personally sued if something goes wrong. And I am pushing for insurance. How can I convince the other PTO's in the district to go along with this? As usual, the district does not want to insist. So I can't call in the superintendent to help me out. Suggestions?
