FYI - I got a response from NPN as well as AIM, had info faxed to me, and our checks and applications are, as they say, in the mail. I feel so much better having this step (o.k. - steps!) completed before the first day of school 9/3. Looking forward to hearing about the other benefits of NPN - but this one alone, with membership being $99.00 and insurance reduction of $100.00 - we're $1.00 ahead AND we have BOTH. (You can see it doesn't take a lot to entertain me, right?)

Hi Guys -

Use the phone, if you will. Call AIM at 1-800-876-4044 during business hours. You should be all set.

If you need help with the NPN membership side of things, feel free to call our office at 800-644-3561 or email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Mr. Sullivan:
Ditto, our PTO is waiting for the informatin too. It's a great plan and my paying job is in the insurance industry and truly realize the importance of liability.
Thanks!

Tim,

I emailed someone in regards to getting insurance for your PTO. Can you tell me how long it takes to hear back. Schools starts at the end of the month and I would really like to get the forms filled out and back to make sure we are covered.

I spoke with the executive board and everyone is in agreement for getting the insurance.

Thank you for your help,

Renee

Hi Renee -

I'd definitely recommend not only checking with your principal but actually getting a read of the policy or talking to the agent. A quick "oh yeah, you're covered" doesn't mean a lot down the road if something goes wrong. In our experience, many school policies actually don't cover parent groups and parent group leaders.

Here's a feature story on PTO insurance options:

Hope it helps.
