Pastor wanting control of PTO money

Pastor wanting control of PTO money was created by NancyT
Hi, My son attends a catholic school. The Pastor recently informed us (PTO) that he would be in control of the fundraising money from now on, and also asked the treasurer to turn over the money that is presently in PTO's account. There was no vote on the issue, nor was there any explantion from the pastor as to why he felt that this was a better way to do things. There hasn't been any problems in the past with the distribution of the money, so I don't know why he is insisting on this. None the less, the PTO members are very concerned that we would be losing all say in the $$ that WE, the parents, raise, and we are very nervous and uncomfortable with the whole idea.(please see part 2 of this topic for the rest of my post. I submitted this accidentally before I was finished!)
