we the parents of a small, not-for-profit Montessori school are formally organizing and we call ourselves a PTO, however, we have no by-laws, nor do we intend to to file as a tax entity
we will exist in support of the school and teachers; the school is run by a parent board
has anyone had a similiar experience?
what are the 'gotchas' to not becoming a strict PTO vs. our 'planned' loose interpretation and committee based strong volunteer network
