Election

What does it take to be a member? Could she restore her eligibility by writing a dues check today? Don't discount the possibility that she sent in a check, but it got lost someplace.

Really, the membership chair is the person to speak to first. You might mention to them that you noticed this person's name is not on the list and ask them to check into it. The last thing you want is to be seen as petty and vindictive and willing to steal the office on a technicality.

Always take the high road, it makes it harder for others to pull you into the muck. (Oh how I wish I could say that it prevents others from pulling you into the muck).

This is my first posting and I turn to this site for advice on how to best handle a situation at our school that has me in an akward position.
Our school has two individuals that are willing to run for the Presidents position - therefore we will be going to a ballot election. When I was given a list by the school/PTO of the PTO members I noticed that the completed list did not have our PTO Vice-President's name on it. She is a mom that is active into everything and sometimes spoils things with a not so good attitude for others. She feels when talking with her that the school would not run without her. I am the person running for the first time for President and I am here to tell her that I am running on behalf of my parents that are tired of the way that the PTO runs. We should spread the responsibilities among all that want to volunteer. Well, here is my question - how do I best handle this situation - do I approach the Principal and let him know that she is not eligible for a position next year on the board? That would make many parents very happy - how do we best do this without turning this into me looking like the bad person? I am just the one that noticed this because I happen to request a PTO membership list to do a mailing for my election. Please help with advice. I appreciate hearing for all. Thanks!!!
