Very cool. When I took over as prez, I didn't even know what RROC was...lol... And our Bylaws didn't surface until halfway through the year...lol... Talk about trying to see in the dark...lol... Good Luck!

We are currently working without bylaws and we are working from Roberts rule only until the bylaws are written. we were just wondering what was proper.

Our bylaws state that the Officers cannot make motions, but there is nothing in ours about them seconding motions.

The answer to your question lies within your own bylaws.

Hi! In our bylaws it states that only and active member may make a motion or vote. As to date we have 4 officers who are considered active members and 2 active members that are able to vote. If the PTO officers were not able to make a motion or vote we would be in big trouble. Check your bylaws they may answer your question.

I wanted to know if officers on the board of a PTO are allowed to make a motion or second one. We are working from Robert's Rules of Order but, could not locate anything in the book. Please help!!
