We were told that our town wants to take all control of the money that is bought into the school. Which that would include PTO generated money. Then we were told that the town can only take monay that was student generated. I spoke to an lawyer and was informed that technicaly the money isn't PTO generated because all functions that are ran be the PTO the children take home the notices so that makes it student generated. My question is, Is this really leagal where a town can take over ALL accounts that the school have and if so what other options do we have to prevent this. I was informed that the only protection that we have is becoming incorporated. Is this true?
