I went and bought Webster's New World Robert's Rules of Order, Simplified and Applied. About 350 pages. It is fairly concise and easy to understand. There is a meeting script that is very helpful. I have emailed you a few things you may find helpful.
I am a new PTO president for the coming school year. I have had experience running informal meetings but not where we've had to follow parliamentary procedure. To be honest, I've looked at Robert's Rules of Order and am overwhelmed by them. Does anyone have any suggestions about how to run a timely, procedurally correct meeting without being an expert about parliamentary procedure?
