Hi there!
This sounds like the president has had a change of heart and would like to gauge opinion to see if others may be leaning more in her direction.
When you say everyone was on board, was there an actual vote on something> Was this a general meeting or a board meeting? If it was a general meeting, there are pretty specific rules on how the voting process to approve an event (or other activity, program). This article provides some general information on how issues should be raised and addressed: www.ptotoday.com/pto-today-articles/arti...hat-you-should-know/
In general, be careful about anyone (even the president) suggesting anything be done in secret. Is there a way to have a conversation to ask her if the topic can be revisited more openly?
We had discussed a certain event in one of our meetings and all of us were on board. Now all of a sudden, the president doesn't seem to like the idea. She sent us a email today saying we needed to send her a "silent vote," through email. It seems sneaky to me...If it needs to be anonymously, then shouldn't it be a paper vote? Is this allowed?
