I agree with Helen -- ask the superintendent. It seems odd to pull a kid out after 3 months -- is the school overcrowded? And then to put the kid back in 3 months later when the purchase goes through? I know there are a lot of really slow sales -- particularly short sales -- where the buyer really can't do anything to speed it up. Perhaps the district policy needs some new flexibility.
Yes. I am certain that your bylaws are very specific and state that board members must have children in the school and be a dues paying member.
Im sorry, I know its horrible and I would tell your VP to go for a sit down with the superintendent. Maybe it would make a difference but also ask if she can pay the sd tuition until the house is ready...Good Luck!
Really depends on your bylaws. Is eliginility for membershiop or officer roles defined? Some groups do restrict membership to "parents and guardians of students at XYZ school". If that's close to yours, then she may well need to step down/step back for a bit. She should still be able to help you guys out in many ways, if she likes.
Our VP was told that her daughter would be withdrawn from school today because they have not yet moved into the district - their house buying process has been pushed back another 3 months- .. Does this mean that she has to step down as VP ?
