I'm sorry for the confusion of my suggestion that you post your question on the Robert's Rules forum. I was referring to posting your question on the actual Robert's Rules website, not on the Robert's rules forum on the PTO Today website.
I would post a link here to help you get to it, but I'm not a member of this site, so it doesn't allow me to include links in my posts. However, if you google "Roberts Rules or Order", you'll see the official website in the search results. Then, post your question on that site's forum. The parliamentarians there can provide you with advice. They're a bit tough (demanding to know EXACTLY how your by-laws are worded with regard to this issue, etc.), but you'll receive great advice.
I have been elected to President's position for the upcoming school year. I had posted this question in another forum and it was suggested that I repost it here.
The current set of bylaws cites that a quorum consists of at least 4 members. Since the board is currently only 3 people strong, do I even have enough to ammend the bylaws?! How can we ammend the constitution and/or bylaws if we don't have a quorum?
Any advice or help in this situation will be GREATLY appreciated!
