School Referendum

We had this issue a couple of years ago, and our board at that time said that we could not offically help in any way because our by laws say that we are non-partisian , non politacal on so forth. The other side was saying that it would directly impact our school for the better so why couldn't we help? So I don't know how your by laws are written, or if you have the same interpertation.

Good luck

School Referendum was created by GHEC
Hi

I hope someone can help me. I am the president of our PTO. Our school is trying to pass a referendum this year and the school has asked the PTO to help. We have not received any kind of list of items that they want done as of date, but would like to know what we can and can not do. Our group is willing to help, but we do not want to cross any lines that could get us in trouble. I was visiting with another memeber and she was asked if we would pay some of the bills. The referendum committee has set up a special checking account to handle the bills & donations. I am not sure a school organization can donate funds to the "YES COMMITTEE"
