New board members for the upcoming 2007-2008 school year should start serving their term at the start of the new school year. All remaining business for the present school year should be handled by current officers. That's how I would handle things.
We have some 'hot' issues to resolve before the end of the year and currently as a board we are divided. We just had our elections at the last general meeting and know who our two new board members are for next year (we have 3 remaining and 2 moving on). Even on this issue we are divided: include the new members now in our bi-weekly board meetings or not. I won't say anything else...please give me your thoughts.
